Review by Claudia Gibson (date: 24-Dec-2008)

We live in the states and had a Puerto Rico destination wedding in October 2006. We didn't have too much time to shop around. My options were #1 to go with the more expensive photographer that I really liked, or #2 to go with Rafael, whose sample pictures looked very nice. Our wedding was wonderful, but Rafael's services were a disaster from day 1. As opposed to the videographer (Ferrer Video Productions, which I highly recommend) Rafael arrived at my house on the day of the wedding in an apparent bad mood. He seemed removed from the action and in a hurry to get done. At the church he took very little pictures and after the ceremony, instead of staying to take some pictures, he disappeared and immediately went to the reception. At both the ceremony and reception he hardly took pictures of my family extended and other guests! I literaly only have 1 or 2 pictures of my grandparents and extended family that day. And my sister had to go get him before he left so he would take them! Rafael took around 500 pictures that day, when the average photographer takes over 1,000. So the numbers speak for themselves. Our album was ready within a few weeks, but guess what. We ordered it on April 2007. It is now December 2008 and we are still waiting! After we paid him $2500 in full, the man has never sent us our album. We have tried to contact him repeatedly and he will not respond. It has been very frustrating not to have our album and the pictures were very disappointing. There were a few good shots, but nothing photojournalistic like I was expecting and hoping for. My two pieces of advice: 1-Just because the photographer has a few good shots in his repertoire, doesn't mean he will come through with all great pictures. 2-Puerto Rico has an incredibly talented pool of photographers. I know because many of my friends have gotten married there and I've seen their pics. Shop around and do not choose this man because the same thing is liable to happen to you. Hope you have a wonderful wedding. It is really one of the best days of a girl's life. Choose your vendors wisely so they don't ruin it for you.
Unresponsive; has not given us our wedding album after 2 years!
